#1744 closed enhancement (fixed)

Add python2-websockify to centos repository

Reported by: Chris Hills Owned by: Chris Hills
Priority: trivial Milestone: 2.3
Component: packaging Version: trunk
Keywords: centos, packaging, websockify, python Cc:

Description

It would be useful if python2-websockify was in the winswitch centos repository as it is not available in the base centos repo in order to make installation more straightforward.

Packaging added in r18028 + r18029, there are beta python-websockify centos6 and centos7 packages here: https://xpra.org/beta/

@chaz6: please close the ticket if that works for you. (and I'll move the packages to the stable repo, maybe also backport the new dependency to older xpra spec files)

The rpm works for me, but should the name not be python2-websockify instead of python-websockify in line with the other python packages?

There are already some packages named python-websockify for centos6, so I would rather use the same naming convention.
We could use a Provides clause, but those don't always work the way you expect.
