DMG file can't be used on Catalina

Description
“Xpra” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image.
Every version up to r24184 dmg file shows this during verification.
If you try to open the DMG and then run the app bundle directly from the command line, it fails the same. Same even when you point to any binary inside of Xpra.app/Contents/MacOS. It simply fails.

Could this be caused by Gatekeeper? SOLVED: "Application" is damaged and can't be opened in macOS Sierra
Or some extended attributes? macOS Catalina: “App is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash.”

Not heard back. Closing.
My guess is that you need to right click: Can't you just right click?

this ticket has been moved to: https://github.com/Xpra-org/xpra/issues/2454
The PKG does work: #2453
This could be related to notarization (#2441) or some other security "feature" in macos.
